Food Grade Compact FDA
FDA certified for direct food contact, ideal for kitchen applications
Quick Specifications
Product Overview
Food Grade Compact FDA is a specialized high-pressure laminate certified for direct food contact, manufactured to meet stringent FDA regulations (CFR 21 Part 177.1460) and NSF/ANSI 51 standards. The production process uses food-safe phenolic resins and specially selected kraft paper layers, laminated under controlled conditions (140-160°C, 100-120 kg/cm²) to create a completely non-porous, homogeneous core. The surface features a smooth, sealed finish that prevents bacterial colonization and fluid penetration. With antibacterial efficacy of 99.9% (tested per ISO 22196 against E. coli and S. aureus), this product ensures maximum food safety. The dense core (≥1.40 g/cm³) provides excellent impact resistance for heavy kitchen use, while the chemical-resistant surface withstands food acids, oils, and commercial cleaning agents. Zero migration of harmful substances ensures food safety compliance. Available in thicknesses from 12mm to 25mm, specifically designed for commercial kitchen countertops, food processing facilities, restaurant prep areas, and any surface requiring direct food contact certification. Meets international food safety standards including EU 10/2011, FDA CFR 21, NSF/ANSI 51, and GB 4806.1-2016. Heat resistant up to 180°C, stain-resistant, and easy to sanitize for daily food service operations.

Applications
Commercial Kitchen Countertops
Heavy UseEssential for professional kitchen food preparation surfaces in restaurants, hotels, catering facilities, and institutional kitchens. The FDA-certified surface allows direct food contact for cutting, chopping, and food assembly. Non-porous core prevents absorption of food particles, liquids, or bacteria. Resists staining from food acids (vinegar, citrus, tomato), oils, and spices. Easy to sanitize with commercial kitchen cleaners and disinfectants. Typical installations include prep stations, butcher blocks, pastry tables, and assembly counters. Withstands heavy daily use including knife cuts (self-healing to minor scratches), hot pans (use trivets for >180°C), and frequent cleaning. Meets health department requirements for food service facilities. Common thickness: 12-20mm for standard countertops, 25mm for heavy-duty applications.
Food Processing & Manufacturing Plants
Heavy UseCritical for food production facilities requiring HACCP compliance and GMP certification. Used for food sorting tables, packaging stations, quality inspection surfaces, and ingredient preparation areas. The non-porous surface meets strict food safety regulations for meat processing, dairy production, bakery operations, and beverage manufacturing. Resists bacterial growth even in high-moisture environments. Easy to clean and sanitize between production runs. Typical applications include meat cutting tables, dough preparation surfaces, fruit/vegetable processing lines, and packaging workstations. Chemical resistance handles food-grade sanitizers, CIP (clean-in-place) solutions, and industrial detergents. Maintains FDA compliance throughout product lifespan (15-20 years).
Restaurant & Cafe Service Areas
Heavy UseIdeal for front-of-house and back-of-house food service surfaces including server stations, beverage prep areas, salad bars, and buffet counters. The attractive surface finish allows customer-facing installations while maintaining food safety certification. Stain-resistant surface stays clean and presentable throughout service hours. Common uses include coffee bar counters, sandwich assembly stations, dessert display surfaces, and bar tops. Resists common restaurant spills (coffee, wine, sauces) and frequent wiping. Heat-resistant for hot plate placement (use trivets). Easy maintenance reduces labor costs in fast-paced restaurant environments. Popular in quick-service restaurants, fine dining, cafeterias, and food courts.
Food Testing & Quality Control Laboratories
Medium to Heavy UsePerfect for food safety laboratories, quality control testing areas, and research facilities conducting food analysis. The FDA-certified surface ensures no contamination of food samples during testing procedures. Non-reactive surface will not interfere with analytical results. Used for sample preparation benches, microbiological testing surfaces, and sensory evaluation tables. Resists food testing chemicals and laboratory cleaning agents. Easy to decontaminate between sample batches. Meets laboratory food safety protocols. Applications include university food science labs, government food inspection facilities, and private testing laboratories. Supports HACCP validation and food safety research.
