Thickness selection depends on your application: 0.6-1.5mm for surface lamination, 2-6mm for vertical applications like wall panels, 6-12mm for countertops and furniture, and 12-25mm for structural applications like toilet partitions and exterior cladding.
HPL (High Pressure Laminate) is a thin decorative surface layer typically bonded to a substrate, while Compact Board is a solid, self-supporting panel made entirely of layers of kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resin. Compact Board is thicker, more durable, and can be used structurally without additional support.
